How long does a leasehold management pack take?

There is no single answer: professionally managed buildings often turn packs around within a couple of weeks, while packs from poorly organised or self-managed buildings are a well-known cause of longer delays — sometimes stretching to a month or more. Buyers' solicitors, sellers and estate agents all feel the wait.

The time rarely goes where people expect. Filling in the form is quick; finding things is slow. The insurance schedule is with whoever renewed it, the accounts are with the accountant, the fire risk assessment is a paper copy in a cupboard, and the one person who knows about the roof works is on holiday. Every retrieval is a delay, and every gap discovered late restarts the clock.

That is why the durable fix is not a faster form but a standing record: when the information already exists in one reviewed place, the pack is assembly rather than archaeology.
